Adolescent Services

  • Often the most difficult ages for parents to deal with are 13-19. Because of biological, emotional, and social changes that are taking place, there is often a need for additional support. This population is probably my favorite age with whom I work. A large portion of my teaching career was devoted to the middle and high school grades. And in both cases during my psychological internships, teens were the primary source of clientele. As a result, this is an area of counseling about which I’m very excited.

I work with adolescents who struggle in any way with:
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Self-harm
  • Various Trauma (neglect, sexual, physical, or emotional abuse)
  • Grief & Loss
  • Social Interaction
  • Communication Issues
  • Emotional Dysregulation
  • Self-esteem and Body Image
I am not currently trained to work with:
  • Substance Abuse
  • Eating Disorders
